MAWS Gives Back to Ukrainian Refugees in Poland

The MAWS team, led by owners Rich and Suzanne Hood, donated 200,000 airline miles to be used by Americans assisting Ukrainians arriving in Poland daily by the thousands. Travelers included two doctors, one nurse, one lawyer, three businessmen, three college student volunteers, and pastors.  The team went to Krakow, Poland from June 5 to June 18 and brought supplies and other attention to displaced families.

The airline miles donation was significant in that it provided direct help to 4 of the team members to participate in this trip. Even though the team was not permitted to go into Ukraine, they had significant work directly with Ukraine refugees and ministry leaders.

Below are the names of the churches and ministries the team worked with and other helpful info:
Irpin Bible Church
– Ukraine Baptist Church of Krakow
– 5th Baptist Church of Krakow
iCare Ukraine: A Ministry of Mission Eurasia
Mission Eurasia

The team also volunteered at Polish Government sites that directly served Ukraine refugees, such as the Railway Station.

This trip was gratifying because the team could help people affected by the war directly. MAWS is beyond grateful to have had a role in helping make this trip happen and we want to thank all of our team members who contributed so that we were able to do our part in serving and helping the people of Ukraine.
