MG 380 VZT

MG 380 wire granulatorWithout the right equipment to separate copper or aluminum components from electrical wires, cables, electronic board and other formats, these valuable metals are likely to end up in the landfill for eternity. Components from demolished buildings, junked automobiles and trucks, discarded electric motors, and many other materials that contain substantial amounts of these reusable metals have been recovered because an efficient and economical separation process has been developed.

Mid-Atlantic Waste Systems specializes in sophisticated waste management and recycling systems. To address this retrieval and recycling challenge, Mid-Atlantic has identified the best solutions for recovery of valuable metals and now presents a full line of equipment designed to shred, granulate and separate these components from any size cable and wiring.

MG 380 VZT

Capable of processing 1500 to 2650 pounds of discarded cable and wire per hour, the MG 380 VZT is a state-of-the-art technological system that efficiently separates copper components from a variety of material to a 99.9% degree of effectiveness. Since the recovered material has higher value per unit than unrefined copper, recovery and recycle is a potentially profitable endeavor.

MG Recycling Equipment

To solve the problem of recovering these valuable components from a wide variety of discarded wire, cable and other media, Mid-Atlantic Waste Systems has partnered with MG Recycling, a global leader in developing efficient recycling equipment.

Mid-Atlantic Waste will provide training in the operation and maintenance during the installation of the equipment.

How Does the MG 380 VZT Work?

MG’s patented system for recovery of recyclable metals seems simple, but it is technologically complex. The Turbo Zig Zag system separates the finest copper wiring from the thicker rigid cable. The MG 380 VZT then granulates the discarded wire and cable into tiny particles. During the final stage, the granules proceed through an airflow system that separates them by specific weight. The copper granules are routed to a specific location as a 99.9% pure product, ready for reuse. The entire process is relatively quiet since parts of the MG 380 VZT have been soundproofed. Also the MG 380 VZT utilizes a self-cleaning feature to eliminate resulting industrial dust and reduce maintenance time.

To facilitate the separation of extremely variable cable and wire materials and to achieve uniformity, a Tritronic 800 Series Pre-Shredder is recommended to break down the raw material to a more manageable consistency prior to granulation. A loading belt with a magnetic roll pulley should be incorporated to move the material smoothly to the granulation phase.

Profitability: Selecting the Right Equipment

Mid-Atlantic Waste sells a complete line of MG granulating equipment for every level of volume. Choosing the right equipment for the volume of raw discarded material that can be sourced is a key component of the capacity decision.  Mid-Atlantic Waste experts will assist with the analysis for selecting the right equipment for the every circumstance. Too much capacity can lower the level of profitability and target return on investment. And a system that is too small for your available raw material can result in over-working, extra maintenance and certainly limit potential income.

Whenever the available raw material supplies exceed your existing granulating equipment capability, a Mid-Atlantic Waste consultant can advise options for trade-in or adding additional equipment.
