The MG 150 is a small complete system of MG series, for the recycling of copper and aluminum, radiators and electronic board. The new blade configuration of GR 300 granulation results in higher production rates at less cost, longer life, lower maintenance and a reduced need for spare parts. Additionally, the door is sound proofed to reduce noise, plus the cutting chamber is equipped with anti-wear plates. The MG 150 also is equipped with a Turbo for the finer hair wire and car harness at no additional charge. The Turbo is designed to separate the fine hair wire and car harness without reducing screen size in the granulator. This system can also be purchased with a 600 series Tritonic Pre-Shredder and loading conveyor.
Separating Recyclable Materials
Because of its versatility and conductive capability, copper is one of the most widely used elements in construction today. It is difficult to estimate the value of all of the copper and other valuable metals that would have been discarded into junk piles and landfills during the past century. But with the compact MG 150 from Mid-Atlantic Waste Systems, used copper wiring and cable can be separated through a granulating process that is 99.9% effective. And granulated copper recovered from old wiring is ready for further processing and has higher value than unprocessed copper materials.
Wiring from demolished structures, discarded vehicles, electric motors and other sources is an abundant commodity. Separating copper wiring from the housing or harness would have been a tedious and dangerous manual task until effective mechanical processes were developed.
MG 150 Compact Granulator
Granulation and separation are the keys to efficiently removing valuable copper components from cables and wires. The MG 150 can process up to 660 lbs. of wire and cable material of varying thicknesses per hour. The equipment can separate fine or rigid wire efficiently using minimal energy and labor.
The result is 99.9% pure recovery of the valuable components.
Copper is the most valuable non-ferrous metal used for widespread industrial use. The properties do not diminish with time and the demand continues to increase. Recovering copper for recycle and reuse is a financially viable process with the MG 150. Your material costs are minimal, since discarded cable and wiring materials are plentiful and relatively inexpensive.
And the satisfaction of reducing the volume of discard materials to the landfill and helping to protect the environment is another important benefit.
How Does the MG 150 Work?
The MG 150 a metal recovery system designed for separating copper or aluminum from a wide spectrum of discarded cable or wire formats. This compact granulator reduces wire and cable to granular size using a GR300 blade configuration. The metal granules are then separated by specific weight from the granulated plastic or other material casing by an airflow process. A continual blast separates the lighter weight components from the heavier where, at the end of the process, the granules empty into two designated bins.
Components of the MG150 are soundproofed to reduce the noise generated by the pulverizing process.
Also the MG150 includes a self-cleaning mode to remove the resultant industrial dust. This function reduces the amount of time spent on maintenance.
To separate fine or capillary-sized wire, a Turbo attachment may be added.
In addition, when a wide range of discarded materials are being processed, Mid-Atlantic Waste Systems recommends the addition of a 600-Series Tritonic Pre-Shredder to reduce the variable wiring and cable input to a more workable consistency. Pre-shredding speeds up the process and maximizes the yield of the final granular separation.
